Socialize has created a drop-in social platform that can predict user intent by understanding shared user interests. An initial application is to help app developers identify and reward active, loyal influencers in their apps, increasing app installs by up to 551% & in-app engagement by up to 316%.

Jon Staenberg I have known Daniel for almost a decade. Love his sheer tenacity and do whatever it takes. I have seen the team in action and he has them very fired up. They are iterating and moving w the vision in mind. Very cool app.

Here are some Socialize stats for Jan 2012 vs. Dec 2011:

I'm separating these into two buckets: The first is for ALL apps running Socialize, including AppMakr-made apps. The second is only for apps made by independent developers outside of our AppMakr channel.

All comparisons are between the month of December 2011 and the month of January 2012 unless otherwise... more indicated.

SUMMARY:

You'll see below that we had monthly growth in many segments of between 20% to 99%. Needless to say, this fast growth has kept us on our feet.

STATS FOR ALL APPS RUNNING SOCIALIZE (INCLUDING APPMAKR-MADE APPS):

Total aggregate impressions went from 31MM to 39MM, meaning we had 8MM impressions from apps running Socialize in Jan 2012, a 26% increase over Dec 2011 and our biggest jump to date.

Total UDIDs (end users) rose from 5.2MM to 6.7MM, an increase of 1.5MM new UDIDs that downloaded an app running Socialize.

Of those 6.7MM users, 1MM of them were active in January, an increase of 27% over December. This means 14.9% of the UDIDs that have downloaded an app running Socialize were active in January. This is typical app behavior (some studies show that only 30% of apps that get downloaded are ever opened even once, and opens drop to 2% of downloads after 90 days -- one of the reasons we see an opportunity to raise app engagement in the app
ecosystem).

Of the 1MM active users, between 60k to 78k took a social action other than a "view", meaning they either "liked," "commented" or "shared" content in a Socialize-enabled app. This is an increase of 44% over December. The breakdown of those who took social actions is that 8.5k commented, 5.7k shared and 61k liked. (The range from 60k to 78k is because we don't yet track whether the same users took multiple actions).

These users produced a total of 139K social actions, an increase of 15%. This works out to an average of 1.8 actions per active user who took any actions at all and brings the aggregate total number of actions created by the Socialize system to 1.15MM since we started tracking last summer. The 139K social actions were broken down as 22K comments, 104K likes, and 13K shares.

STATS FOR APPS OUTSIDE OF APPMAKR:

Outside of AppMakr in January 2012 we had 1166 total registered developers, an increase of 14% with 339 auth'd apps (meaning they got auth tokens from us and successfully authenticated our SDK to our system in their app), an increase of 23%. Of those, 87 were live apps running Socialize, an increase of 33%.

There were a total of 702K UDIDs, an increase of 94%. (This 702K number is a subset of the 6.7MM number above). They took 73k social actions and 1.5MM views. That's a ratio of 21 views for each action, or 0.1 actions per user. Of the 702K users, 1,721 of them auth'd with Facebook when taking an action, an increase of 99%.

Over 100 apps have integrated the Socialize platform, and our app auths are on fire (http://besoci.al/zN8LfO), with over 400 auth'd apps and 4,000 downloads of our iOS & Android SDKs.
