"We were thrilled with the level of attention we received from investors in the network. AngelList certainly gave us many good contacts follow up with as we grow and raise future rounds"
"While high quality startups have always been able to access quality investors, entrepreneurs often spend the bulk of their "time spent on financing" trying to arrange meetings with the right people. AngelList fixes that — and completely changes the experience of closing an early stage financing.
We were only raising a $250K bridge note, and it was oversubscribed within a couple days before I could even respond to most of the 30+ meeting requests. We had the dilemma of having to turn away quality angels given the small round size.
The ability to move fast is one of the best weapons for a startup, and I can't imagine a better or faster way to close an early stage financing and get back to work. "
"Naval and Nivi helped us (Milewise) raise money from a group of high quality investors in record time through AngelList. I've raised money before and I can't remember the process ever being this efficient. They were also very responsive to our questions throughout the process and gave us invaluable advice. Naval, especially is a very experienced investor who has seen pretty much everything."
"AngelList is here to stay: AngelList has replaced the “executive summary”. Six months ago most of the investors on AngelList were Angels. This has dramatically changed. Almost every firm has a few partners or associates on AngelList and frequently use it to make introduction to other investors. AngelList has become so prominent that it is now common practice for startups to add a link to Angel.co to their company profile. AngelList is also helping to introduce startups to lesser known and non-Silicon Valley firms in a scalable manner."
"Closest embodiment of both a true meritocracy and a perfectly efficient rolodex in start-up financing. AngelList has provided Flavors.me with direct access to a dream list of angels and VCs. I simply can't recommend it highly enough."
"The application really helps you position your company in the right way. I went through the list and picked out the angels I wanted to present Yipit to. It felt like I was going down a grocery store aisle picking out one amazing investor after another — it was awesome. Three weeks later, we finished up the round with one of the angels we met through AngelList. If we had more room, we would have probably taken a few more that were interested."
"We were introduced to about 20 angels in a matter of days and got funding. If we hadn't had a strict deadline for the round, we would have raised even more. Many of the angels are very smart money and can help your company way beyond "just" money."
"Less than a week after the post we had narrowed the list and were in closing stages with the final investors. As an entrepreneur, I was able to choose which investors would be able to add the most value."
"Hands down the most efficient way to raise capital for an early-stage start-up. Well suited to raising a seed round with well connected individuals who can add tremendous value in the early stages. As an added benefit, you receive invaluable advice from Nivi & Naval along the way."
"AngelList is an important source of deals for Freestyle Capital."
"I used AngelList to fund Pedal Brain and can't recommend it enough. I was introduced to top tier angels quickly. Everyone I talked to gave me their full attention, asked good questions and most made additional introductions for me."
"We — WiseStamp — were recently featured on AngelList and received great and relevant interest in our seed round. If you are a start-up and interested in approaching experienced angels you should definitely apply!"
"I think AngelList is a superb tool and the guys are really pushing the envelope with new ideas. I have not done an investment via them yet but I am sure I will."
"A transparent and efficient way for investors and entrepreneurs to succeed together."
"Fantastic service for entrepreneurs and investors, creating an extremely efficient process for raising seed capital. The quality of the companies is high due to Naval and Nivi's intimate knowledge of what matters for both constituencies."
"If you're raising money from angels, this is the place to go. Period.
To be considered for AngelList you are required to fill out a submission form. This is in itself a highly useful exercise, since it forces you to hone your pitch and phrase things in ways that will appeal to angel investors.
Within 24 hours of being accepted and sent out to the list, we received 10 quality angel inquiries and secured our first commitment — Tom McInerney. We were already happy campers, but it didn't stop there.
After securing a few new key investors (and thus additional social proof) via other connections, Naval and Nivi re-submitted us to AngelList. This time we were greeted with literally dozens of inquiries and secured two new angel commitments — Mitch Kapor and Josh Stylman. Josh then introduced us to Chris Dixon and Eric Paley of Founder Collective, who signed on as well.
In the end, AngelList played a direct or indirect role in securing fully half of our investor commitments."
"We got the attention of many investors that we simply couldn't have reached on our own. I've started some relationships that I believe will be very helpful in the long run, and gotten started with many investors on the right foot."
"High quality dealflow matched with high quality investors — a really great resource I am thrilled to be part of."
"This is a list of seriously top tier angels that get dealflow from carefully curated introductions by Nivi and Naval. It's like having a really, really well connected friend that's making the personal intros for you, and the angels respond.
We've gotten participation in our convertible note from Charles River Ventures, angel entrepreneurs Bill Lee and Rich Chen, and have a half dozen angels reviewing the note. A large driver of the traction we've seen is from AngelList. I can't recommend their "angel ecosystem" and the expertise they provide enough."
"I've invested in 3 startups via AngelList. Of all the deals that cross my radar, the ones that come through AngelList are the ones that get the most attention from me. I just wish something like this had existed when I was raising angel money for HubSpot."
"I've made investments thru AngelList that I wouldn't have otherwise been able to access. I've also had a chance to help entrepreneurs who needed angel support that I couldn't offer, but where I was able to help connect them to the folks they needed to get to.
I love being part of it."
"I'm a big fan of AngelList. We've seen a number of really interesting opportunities through it."
"AngelList is good for everyone — founders and investors. Nicely executed with care all around."
"We got a good number of our investors through AngelList, and I would recommend it to any entrepreneur looking to raise an angel round. They really accelerate the process. I can't imagine a situation where an entrepreneur would not want to use this service."
"It's the fastest way to get in front of a high quality group of angels and gauge their interest level. It worked well for us. After we went out on the list, several high profile angels responded and their interest helped us land more meetings and led to an oversubscribed round."
"AngelList was amazing for us. Within hours of posting, we had dozens of qualified, top-shelf investors and by the end of the day we were 100% oversubscribed. At first we were reluctant, thinking the semi-impersonal list might be a last resort after personal introductions dried up, but the response was so positive — and, moreover, the investors seem to appreciate receiving pitches through this channel — that my only regret is that I delayed posting for so long."
"Instead of the pain of finding investors, it's created a new pain of dealing with more investors than time."
"A superb source of quality people and deals."
"Great quality of dealflow."
"I get about two deals a week via Angellist and I read every single one of them with attention. The email formats are short and well thought through (team, social proof, concept, traction, all explained with extreme clarity). It continues to surprise me, especially the quality of projects being presented. We have done one to date and considered seriously a number of others.
The talent of Shafqat Islam at Newscred is enlightening; he was banging his head against the wall trying to raise money from European angels. I was one of the folks who filtered him / recommended him to Nivi. Within weeks the financing was concluded and when I last saw Shafqat he was brimming with confidence that he could now execute on his opportunity."
"The greatest help to active angel/seed investors is having additional sources of dealflow that maintain a very high signal to noise ratio. AngelList does exactly that.
Also, the structured format of the emails (team, product, investment details, committed investors) makes it quite easy to digest quickly and then dig in more deeply where appropriate."
"I find AngelList extremely useful and have contacted a majority of companies to look at investing. Also, they do a great job at providing concise data points to help in the decision (short description, social proof, momentum metrics)."
"Every entrepreneur raising seed capital should submit their company to AngelList. It's an incredibly efficient and very brief process, and Nivi & Naval are awesome advocates and guides throughout it. Topguest met our investor Jeff Clavier via AngelList and he has been absolutely top notch."
"I believe we (Postling) were the second company to get funded via AngelList.
Your network only goes so far. As a NYC-based company, our "reach" into SF / SV investors was fairly limited. AngelList changed that. We have had dozens of investors contact us via AngelList.
VCs hear about you in a validated way. Even though we avoided VCs in our angel rounds (for signaling reasons), we are establishing relationships with them that result in meetings which will hopefully bear fruit in the future.
Experience-based advice. We did a small angel round in the spring, and now we are doing a larger one. Nivi helped give us some guidelines on valuation, terms, and positioning ourselves properly to have a successful second round while looking ahead to the Series A that will (hopefully!) be coming next year.
These guys are true professionals and care deeply about the entrepreneurs they work with."
"AngelList does a lot of diligence on the companies that apply in order to insure high quality startups that are at the perfect stage for investing to appear to investors. On the flip side this allows entrepreneurs to find holes and garner a new perspective from a very entrepreneur friendly resource.
Not only did we receive high quality responses, they were from investors that had significant experience and insight into our specific vertical. These were angels that understood the market and quickly dove into the core strengths and weaknesses of the business and understood what needed to happen to get to the next level. Nowhere else will you be able to get a collective response from industry experts willing to help not only in terms of capital but from an operational and hands-on perspective as well.
All in all, AngelList provides an excellent resource and for us is giving us the opportunity to execute with fewer distractions. As well as provide huge social proof for many other capital sources you may be talking to who have partners and other relationships with people who are connected to AngelList."
"I had a great experience with AngelList in raising our recent $500K seed round. We were matched to high-quality, interested investors. We did not raise money from any of them, but one did make us a competing offer and it did help us close the existing deal more quickly and on better terms than we would have without the considerable additional investor interest generated by AngelList. Several of the intros are now potential Series A investors as well."
"Naval and the guys went out of their way to help us and provide great counsel.
The list introduced us to about 15 prospective investors. Of the AngelList introductions, Eghosa Omoigui and Quest Ventures were particularly helpful to us in the process of assembling our round and have been great to work with since."
"We look at everything that comes in thru AngelList and it goes to top of the heap."
"Foodspotting is my first venture, and Nivi took us under his wing and coached me through everything from how to craft a compelling "big vision" statement to how to get meaningful intros to investors to how to schedule a meeting with an investor.
We ended up booking dozens of meetings with investors, VCs and seed funds. And while it took time and patience, the round came together, and before we knew it, we were actually oversubscribed!"
"I subscribe to AngelList and read every email that Nivi and Naval send me. Because I know they will be high quality and something worth investing time into. Incredible service for founders and investors."
"It's genuine, it's honest, the filters and processes work (and when they dont they change them). Adds value to all participants. N&N really think hard about how their product retains its authenticity and adds benefits to everyone."
"We secured seed funding from some well respected angels off of AngelList. The process was very straight-forward and efficient and actually pushed us to close quicker than we expected. Naval and Nivi were helpful in following up and checking in on the status of each introduction to see how things were moving along."
"My new venture, BranchOut was shared with select members of The Angel List and almost everyone contacted me for meetings within days. This includes leaders from Facebook, Twitter, Google, YouTube, Wordpress, etc. These are the people that we want involved in BranchOut and AngelList helped to quickly facilitate these introductions. Furthermore, Naval has been extremely helpful in providing strategic advice. If you have an interesting start up and want to reach the best investors, AngelList is the way to go."
"This is a fantastic tool no entrepreneur should miss out on. We were distributed on AngelList one Friday evening based on a signed term sheet from a group of Angels and some initial traction. At the end of the week end we had close to 40 requests for introduction, mostly from partners at the top VCs we had been trying to get an intro to. 4 weeks later we closed our round with 2 top VCs and the group of Angels — but we had more than doubled the round size and significantly increased the pre-money. Hindsight my only mistake was to contact Naval a bit too late in the process — had I known how powerful AngelList is (and how willing Naval is to give advice), I would have done so much earlier."
"As an angel investor, AngelList has been an invaluable resource. In the past 12 months, I have invested in:
PlayHaven
AppMakr
MightyMeeting
LearnBoost
I would not have met these companies without the introductions from AngelList. In this month, I'm already meeting with 4 or 5 additional AngelList companies. I enjoy the referrals and I find the deal closure hit rate to be very high. In a nutshell, AngelList helps me filter through a lot of noise."
"AngelList is awesome for fundraising. Here's our reasons:
Simple – Just submit a start-up profile to AngelList to get intros to investors. Naval & Nivi help develop a compelling profile.
Quick – Receive responses from interested investors generally w/in 1-2 days
Specificity – Can target specific investors (we vetted prospective investors’ portfolios for conflicts of interest).
Quality – AngelList provides access to top-tier angels and VCs
Insight – Fundraising is an art. Nivi, Naval, & VH can provide invaluable guidance personalized to your situation.
Raise – Quick interest from many investors leads to over-subscription and enables raising much more $ than previously considered feasible
Valuation - Building interest among different type of investors enables better economics. Specifically, VCs care more about having an option to invest in the Series A, so they are more likely to accept entrepreneur-friendly terms at the Seed stage (still need to be careful about signaling issue).
By the way, our experience more specifically:
- Over-subscribed: went from raising $500k to $1.5m.
- Entrepreneurial-friendly terms.
- Incredible investors / advisors part of our team now.
- Could have closed in <1 month (we took longer due to our own learning process and keeping the round open for additional strategic investors.)"
"High quality, curated deal flow. While not all the deals are appropriate for me given my domain focus, I can honestly say that every deal I have seen is of high-quality and should—and is—getting done by other high-quality investors. It has had a truly democratizing influence on the world of start-up finance and is bringing excellent companies and experienced investors together in a time-efficient, highly curated and seamless manner."
"We were distributed through AngelList yesterday. Responses are pouring in — and from very respected investors (seems to be both angels and funds lurking in there). The process is clean, simple, and more than anything, efficient. So far, so good."
"The best endorsement I can give is that we pay attention to every lead and we have made investments."
"Great dealflow and highly qualified deals. I pay attention to every AngelList start-up that lands in my inbox."
"AngelList catalyzed our fundraise and more importantly Nivi and Naval were both available to give me advice as we went around raising our "party round". For example, I remember having an idiosyncratic issue that I couldn't figure out, and Naval took a 20 minute call with me where he basically solved what two professors couldn't quite help me with (background: I was finishing up school while raising my round).
But these guys know what they're talking about. The non-obvious value that AngelList has is that Nivi and Naval are like sherpas helping you scale the Mt. Everest that is fundraising. The fact that they're helping founders out for free just makes them that much cooler."
"We (UberCab) were fortunate enough to be selected for AngelList and it had a significant impact on our fundraising. It simplifies the intro process and allows for instant access to the leading angel investors in the country."
"I look at the companies sent out to the list by Nivi and Naval as similar to a personal referral."
"Received more than 20 intros, including some of the most famous angels in the Valley. Posting on AngelList was a better experience than I could have imagined."
"My experience with AngelList has been quite positive so far. I've seen about three high-quality deals a week and taken two meetings with some great entrepreneurs. I'm excited to have a message queue connecting investors to entrepreneurs, finally."
"I found myself recommending AngelList to at least a half dozen entrepreneurs this past week.
Angels love to share deals with each other. It is how angel rounds come together. But AngelList adds at least two things to the mix. First, it adds a place where the deals can come together online. And second it adds people to the mix that would not be part of the offline deal sharing networks that already exist.
I am on AngelList. I see all the deals come together. I don't personally invest in angel deals in the web/tech space because of potential conflict with USV down the road. But even so, I find it immensely useful to see what companies are getting traction in the angel market. It's part of my radar/early warning system. And it is entirely possible that we will decide that USV needs to participate in an angel round that is coming together on AngelList, although that has not yet happened.
So if you are putting together an angel round, particularly if you already have it partially raised but need to finish it off, I strongly suggest looking into AngelList. It's a great service."
"Take a look at the list and review who is participating. Primarily investors with previous operating experience with a sprinkling of institutional investors who are predisposed to early-stage deals. These are people you want invested in your company. Not just because they have money, but because they can be enormously helpful. From "social proof" (i.e., investors who represent the right "stamps in your passport") to actual relevant experience in virtually every area in which you might want assistance, you will consider yourself fortunate if your company is selected to go out to this list.
When it was time for us to reach out for our round, one of our investors introduced us to Nivi and Naval. After providing our write up and being selected, we were sent out to the list. In less than 24 hours, we were in discussions with many potential investors and several of them have committed.
You can't underestimate how much this can accelerate your fund raising process. Most of our round has been filled in with angels from this list."
"think i've done at least 3 deals that i found via AngelList. have also sent 3-4 other deals i've funded to AngelList to help syndicate. in short: it works."
"AngelList provided our company with a high volume of high quality investors to pitch. This majorly contributed to the expeditious closing of our round.
Nivi is a consistent source of true advice. Naval is an all-around badass investor.
If you are considering using AngelList, do it."
"We secured 3 commitments from investors we met through AngelList. Here are some other benefits of AngelList.
1) The Application Process
AngelList has a very simple and straightforward application process. But they force you to focus on the key metrics, social proof and other factors that lead to successful fundraising. Just the process of applying, helps you clarify what is necessary to put your company in the best position to fundraise, whether it is through AngelList or through other methods. (It is kinda like a test prep course; all standardized test can be hacked with some preparation and knowledge about how it works. The AngelList process + Venture Hacks is your Kaplan prep course for raising a round.)
2) The Depth of the Roster
Most startups know about the "famous" investors — those who have great public reputations or are name brands. But there are an amazing number of high quality angels, who fly below the radar, that AngelList gives you exposure to. Oftentimes, it can be these angels who help close out your round.
3) The Time Factor
AngelList creates a sense of urgency around the investment process. Nearly every investor that reached out to us, resulted in a call or meeting within 10 days. When compared to non-AngelList intros we received, this is a huge difference in time. Also, decision (both yes and no's) were given fairly quickly.
4) The Validation
Compared to other conversation, the investors we met through AngelList seemed to be leaning towards investing from the initial conversation. A large part of this is the validation a startup gets by being on AngelList. What I mean is that investors were looking for reasons to say yes, as opposed to reasons to say no. The answer still might be no in the end, but it was always a more productive and engaged conversation."
"As one of the investors on AngelList, I must say it's been hugely useful to me to get the summaries of the deals, and to know that all the same angels are seeing the deals. It eliminates some of the special value in "dealflow" access, and instead democratizes the process so that the best companies and the best investors can succeed based on their merits (quality of the company and ability of the investor to discern quality), rather than just based on connections.
One of the best things about AngelList is that it is not taking a cut — Nivi and Naval are simply doing it because they are filling a hole that needed to be filled, and they're doing a great job.
Unlike the VC community, where the VCs must compete with each other for the best deals, the Angel investor community is highly symbiotic. If I invest in a company, I want the best angels to invest alongside me, and so knowing that most of them are also on AngelList is a big plus."
"We reached out the Nivi and also sent them several recommendations from people in my network (i.e. you need social proof to get in). In 24 hours after we got sent out to the entire list, we had >20 of the top investors in the country reach out for meetings. I flew to SF and spent four days meeting everyone. By the weekend I had multiple term sheets and by Monday we had closed our round with exceptional investors that I could only dream about. So from start to finish, we raised our round in less than a week.
There is simply no other way to raise a round so quickly. The quality of investors in their network is incredible. They've made the fundraising process quick, painless and incredibly efficient. I'm still amazed this is a free service that they provide simply to help the startup ecosystem."
"Our target raise was $300K with a max of $500K on the round.
Within 2 weeks, we were over-subscribed for $500K and had to raise our max to $1M.
One week later, we were over-subscribed again at $1M! We ended up keeping the raise at that amount, and actually had to say no to 4 interested investors.
They worked for over an hour with me on my pitch and fine-tuned it so it was perfect.
Top-Tier Angels. The response was incredible. We met with Jeremy Stoppelman (CEO of Yelp), Dave McClure (Investor in Mint, Twilio), Joshua Stylman (Investor in Bit.ly), Benjamin Ling (Leadership roles at Google, Facebook), all through AngelList. All invested.
Momentum. AngelList helped our non-AngelList investors make decisions because they saw the Social Proof of being on AngelList and the investors who came with it. Eventually, we were moving so quickly that some investors were asked to make quicker decisions and many times those decisions tipped in our favor.
Over-Subscription. We still can't believe it. If Nivi and Naval did not help us out, we may not have closed our round at all. Because of AngelList, we were over-subscribed not once but twice!"
"Angellist has been the most important Internet contribution to the angel community to come along in a while. It has brought visibility to young promising startups on a scale and with a speed I've never seen.
And you get visibility within the wider VC community that will help with future financings.
As an investor I have met many great companies and started relationships that I think will go way beyond whether or not I gave them angel money."
"Investors I've been chasing around for months finally emailed me back. We got $50K committed in the first 10 minutes."
"AngelList pulled through — we got plenty of responses from angels and professional, thorough guidance."
"One of the investors from Angel List committed on Friday and it spurred one of the investors we had been talking to before Angel List to commit yesterday. I know you already have a million testimonials up, so don't know if you need another, but if so, I'd be more than happy to provide one. We were really pleased with our results from AngelList. Aside from the actual funding we got, I think one of the main benefits was the exposure we got to VCs on the coasts who have expressed interest in the next round."
"Absolutely loving AngelList. So many high-quality leads. Email volume is crazy awesome — more than half my inbox right now!"
"AngelList is blowing my mind with leads and entrepreneur intros. It's changing the way deals get pitched, done, promoted."
"Getting AngelList intros faster than I can respond."
"My inbox is now 50% Quora and 50% AngelList."
"AngelList has completely changed the way I look at seed deals. I spend more time evaluating & less time sourcing."
"If time spent is any indication, AngelList is, for me, the most interesting site next to Quora that I have started using in the last year."
"Wow, just a few days & I'm pretty impressed by the quality of opportunities running through the community."
"AngelList is an entrepreneur's best friend. Two companies just became over-subscribed thanks to the list."
"I need a keyboard shortcut for: “The best way to connect with me about your business is on AngelList.”"
"I can now officially thank Nivi/Naval as I first discovered Topguest on AngelList. Loved the "lazy" check-in reward. And I invested."
"The experience with AngelList has been great so far. Apart from all the intros that we have gotten on there; there have been a couple of people that we had spoken to before that have now gotten back in touch with us. And from the looks of it we are going to be over subscribed.
Also, most of the Angels we have spoken to have been really impressed with it as well."
"Two days on AngelList & I'm already seeing quality deals."
"Had five awesome investor calls today thanks to AngelList."
"I'm getting great intros from AngelList."
"Psyched to be on AngelList."
"The gift that keeps on giving. We are still getting AngelList intros a few months later."
"AngelList is phenomenal even if your network is large.
In the past year, I spent a lot of time meeting with 700-900 people, and these were mostly entrepreneurs/investors. Eventually I got to the point where my dealflow was fairly decent (1-3 intros per day). The problem is that even with knowing a decent amount of people, you still don't have curated dealflow that's high quality in a structured format. With AngelList you can have curated dealflow, be able to browse the deals online, and still be able to meet with high quality startups.
I've used AngelList to invest in startups, and I was very surprised by the quality of the startups coming through. Usually, when you talk to entrepreneurs, they don't have a clear answer for the business: problem, solution, market, team, product, technology. The
entrepreneurs were well prepared, had significant traction (partners, customers, users, revenue), and were very well equipped for the answers. The startup I ultimately invested in through AngelList was EcoMom, but the other startups were extremely high quality and I didn't invest more because I didn't understand the area or I felt the timing wasn't right (DMCA, or other issues), whereas most of the time with entrepreneurs, they're in all stages of the business and there are a lot of reasons to ding companies for one reason or another.
I feel AngelList is a phenomenal addition to the community, and I wish I had it when I was a first time entrepreneur with MyMiniLife with 4M users, but no connections in Silicon Valley. This allows entrepreneurs to level the playing field with their traction."
"There is one characteristic that masks all others about AngelList: efficiency. One of the biggest challenges with raising a financing round is that you have to sacrifice valuable time that could be spent on operations and development on fundraising. Anything you can do to minimizie time spent here is critical.
AngelList provides the best means to reach top tier angel investors and VCs. Investors pay attention to the startups, and the conversion rate from inquiries to closing is high. Couldn't ask for more."
"Get onto AngelList by hook or by crook — it puts you in front of 100s of great people. AngelList is improving international communication between entrepreneurs and angels massively, so hats off to Naval and Nivi for their efforts."
"We raised via AngelList last year. Best fund raising UX ever."
"AngelList is a great resource. We posted our latest financing on it and met several helpful, qualified investors as a result. Not just investors either. These appear to be long-term, really connected, great contacts."
"At InternMatch, we very quickly raised $200K through AngelList from fantastic investors (Mitch Kapor, Kenny Van Zant, Raj Agarwal) that came to us. Using AngelList for us probably amounted to a 10x time efficiency gain, at least. If you're raising capital and don't have a huge existing personal angel network, it would be a mistake not to give Angel List a serious look.
Bottom Line -- it probably saved us on the order of 2+ months of work. As a scrappy startup, it's a no-brainer."
"Vetting seed stage deals can be very time consuming, especially when attempting to block out the noise and drill down to the core value proposition of an idea. Deals that come to us from AngelList are well vetted, the value proposition is synthesized down to its core, the true stage of the company is disclosed and the companies that are sent to us from AngelList match the kind of companies that we are looking to invest in. It is as if we have a few 'kick-ass' associates vetting deals for us and are working for free."
"In total, I raised more than $1.5M from A-list investors like Spark Capital (Tumblr, Twitter), First Round Capital (Path, Get Satisfaction, Mint), KP (Twitter, Groupon, Google - met through AngelList), and CRV (Twitter, Blippy - met through AngelList) and a list of outstanding angel investors. I'm thrilled to be surrounded by such a great group."
"We have previously raised money the traditional way, and were originally concerned that going through AngelList would harm conversations with investors where we had other introductions. The opposite has been the case."
"My startup, SpeakerText, raised $600k and 80% of our investors came through AngelList, including our lead investor, the Silicon Valley legend Mitch Kapor."
"The rap on the street was don't bother with AL unless you already had a lead investor. We went ahead anyway and got double the conversion rate of investors wanting to get intros! In three days!"
"I pay attention to every lead they send. We have met several really great companies and will definitely close 1-2 deals in the next few months because of this source. They are part of the family and that is the highest praise I can give."
"As an angel investor on AngelList, I find it an invaluable, well-curated resource of early stage investment opportunities. I'm currently looking at two deals referred by Naval & Nivi, and even if I don't end up investing, both have strategic partnership potential for some of my portfolio companies."
"I read every summary the system sends me."
"AngelList is the best thing that ever happened to angel investing, and you can quote me on that."
