9. It all started when I sat in on a keynote given by Mike, the kind that makes you wanna jump out of your seat! The follow up went something like "Mike, I found your preso upbeat, engaging and punchy - love to grab coffee sometime" to which he replied "I enjoyed meeting with you and am struck by your energy. Let's work together on your startup". That genuine, enthusiastic and accessible approach has defined the mentoring relationship we've had with Mike since April 2010.

   Mike has brought a depth and breadth of experience to the table that has helped us with everything from marketing to financing, team building to strategy. He's an exceptionally busy guy but makes himself accessible when it counts, and truly cares about entrepreneurs and helping them succeed. As an advisor, a coach and an all-around A-player, you want Mike on your team. Sounds cheesy, but we always leave our meetings totally buzzed and saying "Time spent with Mike is always good time spent!".

12. I have had the opportunity to work with Mike Grandinetti on a number of occasions. I first met Mike when he delivered the keynote address at the inaugural 2010 InvestAtlantic Conference on Venture Capital. He did a great job of highlighting emergingtrends in the rapidly changing early stage angel and VC financing space and made it highly relevant to his audience of Canadian entrepreneurs and investors.Later that day he served as the lead judge on a panel where I pitched against anumber of other start-up CEOs. Not surprisingly, the companies that he was coaching ranked most highly, including the overall winner of the competition. His advice was direct and on-target and was clearly based on his own operating experience across five successful start-ups. More recently, I sought him out for advice aswe take prop2go to the next level. During these sessions, he provided us with great insight on how to fine-tune our strategic go-to-market and customer acquisition approach, how to segment and prioritize our market focus, how to put in placean advisory board as well as preparing us for our first round of US investormeetings by helping us to anticipate what their requirements will be. His counsel has been exceptionally valuable.
