Software Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design and develop code as Javascript serverless functions that connect to various APIs and databases
• Develop code in Java or Golang to connect to other services
• Develop servers in JavaScript using Node.js
• Lead the project with a local engineering team and work with remote team in the US
• Build and maintain APIs connecting various systems
• Use Github for source code control and Swagger to define APIs
• Work with SQL design tools to develop and read SQL database schemas
• Independently ensure great performance, reliability, and maintainability of your code

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience with Node, Python, Java and other languages
• Experience with NoSQL and SQL databases is required
• An ability to configure and use multiple operating systems such as Linux, Windows and MacOS

OTHER DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Distributed system development with an understanding of latency, scalability, scheduling, asynchronous programming, and reliability
• Familiarity with container technology (Docker). Familiarity with Kubernetes and use of public clouds (GCP, AWS and Azure)
• Familiarity with C and Golang
• Familiarity with object storage such as AWS S3, eventing frameworks such as Kafka, in-memory caches such as Redis
• General comfort in exploring, assessing, and learning new frameworks
• Experience with deploying, maintaining, debugging live systems, and end-to-end testing and analysis
