Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role...

This DevOps professional will have the opportunity to work for an AI-based Unicorn which is recognized as one of the fastest-growing companies on the Inc. 5000 list. They will work in the Development & Delivery of cloud native applications and AI solutions across all major cloud providers - AWS, GCP and Azure. They will work in various data sciences and machine learning platforms like Hadoop, Databricks and Dataproc. This role reports to the Director of R&D, and will join a global R&D team of over 100. This role is remote, based anywhere in the US, but if someone is located in Dallas, they will enjoy a hybrid environment, with some in office time and some work from home.

What you will do in this role:

Develop and maintain tools that ensure smooth operations of o9's cloud-based solution;
Develop and deploy best-in-class tools that support continuous integration and continuous delivery processes;
Perform system and network administration; manage o9 platform deployment at AWS, Azure, Google Cloud;
Use Dockers to deploy and manage containers;
Monitor infrastructure health using ELK cluster;
Administer databases that are part of o9 platforms using MS SQL, Mongo
Develop and debug Custom Integration service tasks

What you’ll have...

Education: Bachelor’s degree Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a like in a quantitative field, Master’s preferred
Experience: 5-10 years of experience in a Dev Ops role, performance tuning, conducting application upgrades, patches, supporting continuous integration and deployment tooling
Experience: 3 years of experience with Dockers or similar, 2 years of experience with Kubernetes or similar; and Hadoop.
Skills: Proficient with Cloud Operations (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), Jenkins or similar technologies, Ansible, Terraform, Administration of databases (MS SQL, Mongo)
Ability and flexibility to work with teams globally, across time zones
