About us
We're working to help construction workers take back control of their careers. For too long, workers have had no control over when or where they work, how much they earn, and how they're treated.
We're building a platform that empowers construction workers to book jobs directly. With no middleman agencies to take chunks of earnings and increased visibility for everyone involved, we're reducing the exploitation of essential workers that comes with social dumping.
Our founding team is made up of our CEO, Lara Moore, and CTO, Michael Ford. Lara is an experienced entrepreneur and growth specialist, having spent 9 years building and growing platforms for world-renowned companies such as NBC Universal and Kahoot!. Michael is a seasoned web and mobile developer, having spent the last decade using progressive technologies to build exciting real-time, cross-platform applications.
Built Open is VC-backed with further support from an exceptional calibre of angels, so we're ready to move fast and learn plenty along the way.
About the role
We're looking for an exceptional intern to help us fulfil our mission. Working closely with the founders and our Marketing and Community Manager, the role promises an accelerated learning opportunity. You'll be pivotal in the launch and scale of Built Open across multiple markets.
The role will require someone that is excited by the opportunity to work closely with our construction workers, supporting them to find the right, fair work for them. You should be a digital native, with a deep understanding of different social channels and be ready to champion the workers – representing their voice within the Built Open team.
At this early stage, your role is what you make it. You will have impact on the Acquisition, Activation, Retention and Referral stages in our funnel, but you will have the autonomy to carve out where you can drive the most value, with our full support behind you.
We're hoping to make this internship a full-time position if there's a good fit.
It is essential that you are able to speak Lithuanian at native or fluent proficiency so that you are able to communicate with our earliest adopters effectively.
Your responsibilities
- Working with the CEO and Marketing and Community Manager to identify our best early acquisition channels and craft intelligent messaging to introduce the Built Open brand to these communities
- Developing a deep understanding of our users and building relationships to foster an engaged community of Built Open ambassadors
- Supporting users through their onboarding process and being their go-to contact for any questions they may have as they start booking work on the platform
- Being Built Open's eyes and ears – your close understanding of our users perfectly positions you to help shape the product to deliver genuine value to our workers

Soft skills
Relationship building will be key, so strong soft skills online and in-person are ideal. If you're empathetic, adaptable, and proactive, you're more likely to find this role is a good fit for you. We think people with a background in a support-related field make them the perfect candidates for this role.

We wouldn't want or expect you to know all there is to know – things change way too often! – but we'd love to work with someone that shares our appetite for knowledge and development.
