Responsibilities
Long run: Executive board member leading international expansion.
Immediate: You will lead BikeFair’s marketing efforts with one goal: driving measurable growth. You will start alone and will get the chance to gradually build your team. In more detail, you will be the final responsible person for:
- Developing, updating and mainly executing BikeFair’s marketing & communications strategy, plan and budget,
- Delivering growth in online sales using conventional online performance channels,
- Constantly improving CPA and together with our development team also all key conversion rates,
- Creating and executing offline campaigns,
- Improving branding and general awareness about our services,
- Creating new opportunities for growth by exploring alternative channels,
- Keeping track of and analysing key performance data and customer behaviour patterns,
- Creating and overseeing content strategy,
- Building a lively community centred around bicycles,
- Coming up with creative, innovative, and impactful campaign ideas,
- Collecting and processing user feedback.

About you
As per your character, you:
- Have a leader mentality and are able to manage not only yourself, but also build a team and naturally motivate others,
- You are a strategic thinker able to see the bigger picture and proactively navigate towards it,
- You are hands on – you’re comfortable doing operational work on a daily basis, be it customer service, setting up/evaluating performance campaigns or creating content,
- Are analytical and result-oriented,
- You thrive in dynamic environment or even uncertainty, enjoy travelling and are able to work on the go.
Regarding your skills and experience, you:
- Understand marketing needs of an early stage start-up, are able to create strategic marketing plan and take ownership for its entire pipeline and results.
- Have a minimum of 5 years experience in performance marketing or growth hacking and proven track record with demonstrable results,
- Understand social media, digital communication, and deeply understand their connection to business results,
- Have direct experience with setting up, optimizing and reporting on paid campaigns, A/B and multivariate testing, ideally also customer behaviour analysis tools such as Hotjar,
- Understand the principles of SEO and are able to utilize this knowledge in practice,
- Are aware of the current trends in ecommerce and technology in general.
- Setting up behaviour and business metrics tracking, analysing this data and implementing the knowledge to improve customer satisfaction and business performance
- Are fluent in both Dutch and English,
- Have a minimum of bachelor’s degree (master’s degree is a plus),
- Bonus points for design skills in Photoshop or Illustrator (not critically necessary).
