Impermium is a SaaS product to protect web sites from "social spam," e.g. abusive comments & wall posts, bogus registrations, unwanted UGC, and account hacking. Our service provides both real-time and batch monitoring of Web transactions, as well as hosted mitigation solutions based on varying levels of suspicion. After fingerprinting users, computers, browsers, and IP addresses, our Hadoop-based analysis engine examines hundreds of features and aspects of every submitted transaction for instances of suspicious or atypical behavior. Aggregate information is further combined with data from other customers to help guard against novel attacks and provide "0-day" protection for new users.
