What I've done

In 2005, I co-founded Vertica Systems with my friend & partner Mike Stonebraker, PhD. Together with a bunch of fantastic people we built a world-class database systems engineering team, a truly innovative product & a fantastic company that experienced dramatic customer adoption, revenue growth and profitability in a remarkably short period of time.

Prior to Vertica, I was as a member of the startup team at Infinity Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: INFI) as the company raised $130M+, treated its’ first cancer patient & filed it's first IND - which was the first IND submitted to the FDA Oncology Division in 100% digital format.

Before Infinity, I served as a member of the core startup teams at Bowstreet (acquired by IBM) as well as pcOrder.com (NASDAQ: PCOR) and Trilogy.

Additionally, over the past 20 years I've satisfied my career attention deficit disorder by helping start, fund or found more than 25 innovative companies that span enterprise software, internet, ecommerce and biotech.
